Rose, a licensed social worker (LICSW) and dog lover, along with her beloved Golden, "Beauty" founded "For the Dogs, NH."  In addition to more than two decades of social work experience, Rose wanted to pursue her other passion of working with dogs.  Her Golden Retriever "Sunny" often accompanied her to nursing homes, hospitals and her private practice to help people feel more comfortable and better able to talk about hard issues.

Our Philosophy 

Although she showers love and attention on them, Rose is the pack leader and is aware that dogs are not people and therefore require supervision at all times around people and other dogs.  There is no excuse for an out of control dog, or a dog that attacks or bites people or other dogs.  Anticipating how a dog is likely to act in certain situations goes a long way to prevent problem behaviors. Being a responsible pet owner means that a dog can act as they should, like a dog, and through proper exercise, love and appropriate limitations they will bring a lifetime of joy to the humans who love them and little attention to those who are indifferent.
